In the United States, Sahaja Yoga Meditation was first introduced by Shri Mataji in 1972. It is now practiced in over 50 cities and metropolitan areas, in institutions ranging from permanent meditation centers to corporations, schools, public libraries, hospitals, drug rehabilitation centers and many other locations.
In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, since 1996 thousands of residents benefited from the positive transformation brought by this practice, from young children to corporate employees and retired citizens of all backgrounds, races and nationalities. Programs have been held in universities, community colleges, corporations, public libraries, and since 2009 at our center in Carrollton. Our DFW chapter is very diverse and counts among its members IT professionals, doctors, executives, business owners, students, homemakers - all united by the desire and passion to share the discovery that has changed our lives with as many as possible.
Our non-profit organization is strictly volunteer based. We are all professionals in our respective fields, and we offer our time and resources freely to share what we have discovered with all who desire it. We learned Sahaja for free, and we teach it for free for the benefit of all our communities.
We are passionate about what we do, and based on the transformation we have seen in ourselves, we believe that if more members of our communities can learn and practice this form of meditation, the world can become a better and more beautiful place.
